Southern Africa Visual Tour 5/12/26

Come join your local Audubon Society chapter for its May program at 7 PM at the Myrtlewood Room of the Coos Bay Library on May 12. This meeting was originally scheduled in Bandon, but was moved due to a conflict for the meeting space.

Take a visual trip to the Southern African Continent with Roy Lowe.  Roy and friends visited the countries of Zimbabwe, Namibia, and Botswana in Nov/Dec 2024.  Their African adventure began at dazzling Victoria Falls and continued through the remarkable Caprivi Strip of Namibia before they dropped into the spectacular Okavango Delta in Botswana.  Wildlife observed was abundant, diverse, charismatic, and very approachable providing stunning viewing opportunities.

Roy Lowe is an avid wildlife photographer and resident of Waldport, Oregon.  He was employed with the US Fish and Wildlife Service for more than 37 years and at the time of his retirement in 2015, Roy was the Refuge Manager of the Oregon Coast National Wildlife Refuge Complex.
