What Is Birding About and How Can We Help Each Other Enjoy the Experience? 10/28/25

Paul Sullivan will present a program for beginning birders at 7 PM on Tuesday, October 28, in the Sprague Room at the Bandon Library. The annual business meeting for CAAS members will be held at 6:30 PM, preceding the program.

Sullivan, a long-time birder from McMinnville, Oregon, has led numerous field trips for what is now the Birding Alliance of Oregon, as well as the Oregon Birding Association. Paul’s presentation is designed for beginning birders, though tips that he will share can help experienced birders communicate more effectively with those of us who are less experienced.

This will be the first program since our summer break. Come share the joy of birding, renew old acquaintances, and bring a friend who is new to birding.

Paul will then lead a field trip on Wednesday morning, Oct. 29, in and around Bandon. Meet at 7:45 AM at the south end of the parking lot at Ray’s Market, in Bandon, to arrange carpooling. The first stop of the field trip will be at the south jetty of Bandon.
