Floras Lake Field Trip 10/11/25

Join trip leader Tim Rodenkirk for this fall birding field trip to Floras Lake and along the trail to New River on October 11 from 7:30 to Noon!. Birds will still be migrating through and so the group will look for waterfowl on the lake and sparrows and other passerines in the open grasslands north of the lake and along the willow-lined trail that goes north to New River. Expect to walk about 2 miles round trip. Bring binoculars and a spotting scope if you have one and water and snacks as needed. If weather turns out to be inclement on Saturday, Tim may shift the trip to Sunday (or even the following weekend if the weather is too nasty that weekend). There is a $5 fee at the County’s Boice-Cope Park day-use parking area. Please RSVP to Tim by Thursday Oct. 9 (timrodenkirk@gmail.com), if you are planning to attend so he can keep you posted on any last-minute changes.
